A production background and cel overlay from the Disney Studios animated series "Marsupilami" (1993). Featuring an ominous stone doorway, the hand-painted background and cel overlay were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the seventh episode of season one, titled "Mars Meets Dr. Normanstein," which aired on October 30, 1993. Measuring 11"x13.5", the background and cel overlay are in very good condition with peg holes reinforced on cel overlay, trimmed and reattached, minor edge and corner wear throughout, and the illustration paper curling slightly.
